Gwithian

Another great Cornish beach, popular with surfers and also home to Godrevy Lighthouse and a small colony of seals.

 

The Hoe

Always a good place to start in Plymouth, with many areas of interest including Smeaton's Tower, The Tinside Lido and The Plymouth Naval Memorial.

 

Saint Michael De Rupe (Brentor Church)

The church of Saint Michael De Rupe is well known amongst landscape photographers and for good reason, it stands proud on the top of a huge granite Tor in the middle of relatively flat surroundings.  Compositionally, there are not too many views to be found so weather is the key factor, and the best view lines up very well with sunrise.

 

Davidstow Airfield

Located in the north of Cornwall near Camelford, the abandoned airfield is an excellent playground for photographers.

 

Whitsand Bay

Whitsand Bay stretches from Downderry in the west to Rame Head in the east and has a multitude of interesting beaches including Portwrinkle, Tregantle and Freathy (a favourite which unfortunately is not currently accessible due to an unstable cliff).

 

Minions

Minions is located on the eastern edge of Bodmin Moor and features several interesting subjects, including The Hurlers (stone circles), several disused mine shafts and Goldiggens quarry a short walk away:
